December 1st - Chorus/Strings at 6 p.m.
 

December 8th -Holiday Program 8:45, 6 p.m
 

December 14th - Chorus goes Caroling:)

February 16th - Black History Program - Grades 2nd and 3rd - 8:45 a.m., 6 pm.
 

April 13th - Multi Cultural Night- Chorus performs at 6 p.m.
 

May 15th - KK Honors program 9 a.m.
 

May 25th - 5th Grade Honors program 8:30 a.m.

Caroling for our Community

The White Station Elementary Chorus was very busy before the holiday break.  We caroled all over town.  Our first stop was for Mayor Luttrell and the Shelby County Government officials . Next, we sang for our adoptors, Lowe's and Chik-fil-a.  We finished up the day at the OakCourt mall, singing for parents and patrons of the mall.  This annual event is just one of the traditions at WSE that demonstrates, we are a community who cares.

The Mayor danced with the kids!!!  :) We had a blast.

WSE Sings the National Anthem at Grizzlies Game!

The White Station Singing Spartans recently had the honor of singing the National Anthem for the Grizzlies game.  It was a highlight to a wonderful first semester of chorus.
I'll post more pics in the hallway outside the music room very soon.

White Station Elementary participates each year in the West Tennessee Choral Festival.  It is a wonderful opportunity to experience singing with other public and private schools from West TN.

Orff Music

In Orff Schulwerk, all facets of expressing, creating and performing music are integrated from the first moment class begins.  The elements of music - melody, rhythm, texture, harmony and form - are always in the forefront of carefully planned lessons. The child is the participant involved in and making his/her own music.  In Orff music we sing, dance, and play instruments.
